Brrrrrrr! Just got back from Hastings, Nebraska. Enjoyed some snowball fights and crisp clean air. Lot's of nice people too!
Here's a link to an article recounting one of the shows. [link] We hauled in over three hundred pounds of equipment for the shows. I was so pumped while loading heavy crates at the hotel that I went shirtless in the below freezing weather. I probably looked nuts although I was really quite warm from the exercise. The tesla coil I brought was made to look quite old. I used rusty old single slotted round headed screws and old brown shellac for a nice aged appearance. The wood was scarred and mistreated and cut from old discarded stock that had been left in the weather or scorched with a heat gun. I made sure the copper wasn't too shiny either. Very old school!
